I’m thrilled to be co-founder and coordinator, along with colleague Amy Van Kessel, of a new rural social media project called TweetFolkTours launched in Norfolk County, Ontario. This new project connects engaged twitter users with small businesses for exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and tweetups.
The launch party was March 27 at The Blue Elephant restaurant in downtown Simcoe. Registered attendees received a brewhouse tour and talk with the brewmaster. It’s safe to say a record was set for most tweets in a single evening originating from a Norfolk County business.
Look for many more stops on the tour as we grow social media in rural communities!
